Product Manager
Originally from Atlanta but have been living in Tokyo for the past 10+ years. Have been in Rakuten for approaching 10 years, but my real professional passion is entrepreneurship and working with new and exciting tech and services. Did the military thing in school where I studied finance and history in school, worked in operations for a commodities trader moving giant shiploads of fertilizers from Russia/CIS to South America. Then stepped into a marketing role after the MBA and since being in Japan have worked in product management and business development roles. Hobbies? Interests? I have always loved cycling and did the BMX racing thing as a kid because 80s. Later graduated to road bikes but always road casually until I came to Japan. when I got really into it and started riding competitively. Always have a lot of DIY house projects going on, and I'm currently building an MR2 for a weekend track rat.
