The Kyoto City University of Arts Gallery has relocated to a new campus on the east side of Kyoto Station, with its inaugural exhibition featuring Tsuyoshi Hisakado, a prominent artist and graduate of the university's sculpture department.

Hisakado's works focus on intangible phenomena like sound and light, exploring the connections between nature, Earth, the universe, and humanity. Known for delicate yet grand expressions, Hisakado's installations have gained acclaim globally.

This exhibition, Hisakado's first in the artist's hometown Kyoto, showcases a unique and expansive installation tailored for the new gallery space, conveying a profound message to "future people," positioning the art universities as a stage for activities that deepen thought and expression, aiming to perceive the world through each individual's vibrant sensitivity.
