Job Description

Amazon Ads supports advertiser's marketing activity on Amazon by using a variety of ads products and our unique solutions so that advertisers can enhance Amazon's customer's purchase experience and achieve their business goals. The Brand Innovation Lab within the Amazon Ads focuses on developing new and innovative solutions to enable our customers engagement with brands in ways that enhance their experience of Amazon's consumer products and services. For our growing business, we are looking for an Art Director to develop our business.


Responsibilities

Art Directors in the Brand Innovation Lab team create one-of-a-kind campaigns for a wide range of global brands. Art Directors work with Creative Director, Sr Art Directors, Designers, Design Technologists, Solutions Managers to create innovative work by hacking and expanding the Amazon canvas. Art Directors need to have strong design and executional skills with strong conceptual abilities and contribute ideas to larger campaigns and projects. Art Director will also need to curate their concepts to ensure they deliver on the brief and strategy. Art Directors are expected to be versed in working across different mediums (digital, ooh, activations, etc.) and handling different areas of production. Art Directors will own less complex projects but will still work under supervision of Sr Art Directors, Creative Directors, and above. Art Directors will need to be self-starters and incredibly curious, always pushing to improve themselves by staying curious, welcoming feedback, and incorporating it in a timely manner. It’s important for Art Directors to be in touch with trends and keep up with best practices in design, culture, and media.


Qualifications

  • Experience in digital campaigns
  • Experience in website planning and production
  • Experience in mobile-first UX/UI design
  • Self-starter who is able to acquire information and build networks both internally and externally
  • Deep interest in Amazon and eCommerce Marketing business
  • Good communication and presentation skills in Japanese for advertisers and marketing departments
  • Experience with creative production tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop (emphasis on speed and quality)
  • Experience working with prototypes using Figma, Sketch, XD, and/or InVision
  • Business Japanese / English level communication skills
