Amazon.co.jp is looking for highly motivated, customer-focused UX designer to drive engaging user experiences and push the limits of what customers expect for e-commerce shopping experience. This role mainly works on new programs in Healthcare and Beauty categories to envision ideal customer journey to solve real problems for real people through research, design, and iteration. It will require to utilize market analysis, customer feedback, data analytics, and usability findings to tailor your designs to the customers in order to best solve their problems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable conducting user testing and prototyping, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment while being an excellent collaborator and have no problem presenting and defending your ideas to other designers, product managers, and company leaders.
Healthcare and Beauty are key categories which Amazon put focus on innovating customers’ shopping experience world-wide. There are ongoing projects that focus on driving Amazon business growth, bringing global products in Japan, proposing and executing JP specific initiatives to better serve Japanese customers’ demands and preference. This role will support such initiatives to meet business objectives. It offers exciting opportunities to be a part of building and managing new products and programs by closely collaborating across multiple countries and multiple functions including software development, product / program managers, and finance in both domestic and international teams.
- 5+ years of experience in designer role
- Capabilities of defining issues based on financial metrics and building a right resolution and proposal to solve them
- Business level English to communicate with internal stakeholders
- Hands-on and Learn & Be Curious attitude to own the work proactively if you think it necessary to achieve the goal
- Highly analytical, logical and clear in communication
- Experience to work in global projects with multiple stakeholders in JP and other countries
- Experience in E-commerce business
- Business level Japanese
