Lead Graphic Designer

Job Description

As our Lead Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for leading our graphic design team, overseeing all visual aspects of AniLive, and ensuring the highest quality of design output such as marketing and social platform creative, and motion graphic/Live2D avatar assets. You will work closely with marketing, operations, and community teams to create a cohesive and impactful visual identity across all platforms.

Responsibilities

Resource Management

• Lead the graphic design team by assigning tasks to team members and managing progress.
• Coordinate cooperation with external partners and freelance designers.

Project Management

• Manage the schedule and prioritize multiple design projects.
• Communicate with other departments to accurately understand requirements and reflect them in the design.

Creative Direction and Quality Control

• Oversee the team and execution of visual concepts, ensuring all design deliverables are of high quality and meet the expectations of the AniLive users.
• Perform error checks, and give final design approvals.
• Provide feedback for improvement to enhance design quality.

Qualifications

• Passion for the Japanese entertainment industry — anime, manga, gaming, VTubing... you must be an otaku!
• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience in a related industry
• 1+ year experience in leading a team
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma and other design software.
• Japanese business level is required
• Business level English is required
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions.
• An understanding of current design trends in the Otaku culture

We develop and operate AniLive, a mobile streaming app specifically designed for virtual streamers and their fans in English-speaking countries.
