Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing product portfolio strategies and programs to drive the growth of Category/Hero products, executes brand image and brand equity goals, product renewals, product line promotions and launches, affiliate forecasting and product analysis, and execution of brand long- and short-term strategies and solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Global and Regional teams, to manage the brand.


Responsibilities

  • Product Marketing

1.1 Product Marketing Strategy

  • Develop category/hero product/new product strategy and identify key goals and targets at key commercial touchpoints (DS/FSS/brand.com/retailer.com/SNS, /Media, etc.)
  • Create an omni product marketing calendar that aligns with APAC guidelines
  • Verification of salon service promotion plan
  • Validate channel-specific (salon/online/DS/FSS) specific salon marketing calendars and salon service promotion plans
  • Leading the standardization and visibility of work processes for efficient operations

1.2 Product Marketing Operations

  • Validate standardized and visualized workflows and processes to execute product marketing operations such as product continuity/stop management, product pricing management, product visual asset management, and VMD/store brochure guidance

1.3 Execute Product Marketing for Aveda

  • To create new recipes and new styling for products, she manages relationships with Aveda salon artists and leads stylists in all network salons to provide hair color recipes and styling services to salon customers.
  • Work with salon artists to create content and creatives for salon product promotions
  • Advising on relationship management with ASKK in order to clarify the strategy for acquiring existing salons and new network salons, as well as the understanding of the salon's promotional campaigns
  • Manage relationship management with network salons and provide insights to achieve uniform salon promotion planning across channels
  • Salon-Educational Site Content/Creative Validation

1.4 Local Product Development

  • Test new product prototypes with local consumers to gather consumer feedback and provide insights to identify opportunities for product development
  • Collaborate with U.S. R&D and brand teams to validate consumer requirements for the development of unique local products
  • Validate product analysis of domestic competitors and share the results with U.S. R&D and brand teams
  • Strategy Formulation

2.1 Develop an omni marketing calendar

  • Develop a strategic communication plan and KPI setting for the entire customer journey involving customer communications in the omnicommunication channel.
  • Develop an omnimarketing calendar for the entire brand to ensure that each stakeholder acts organically and fulfills their marketing responsibilities

2.2 Omni Demand Planning and Forecasting

  • Work with the DPIM team to develop annual, quarterly, and monthly demand forecasts
  • Based on past trends and the future vision of the business shared by management, the results of omni demand planning and forecasting are distributed and adjusted to each department

2.3 Budget Management

  • Ensure that Product Marketing budgets align with brand marketing goals and effectively meet the needs of marketing campaigns
  • Monitor day-to-day Product Marketing activities and budget allocation for necessary items, be aware of hidden and unplanned expenses, and measure return on investment (ROI)
  • Retail & Store Design
  • Manage local and Chinese vendors to ensure that store design and VMD are realized within limited cost, timeline and high quality
  • Review the results of a competitor analysis on store design and VDM, and negotiate with APAC to reflect the results in local and loision.
  • Work with the RDDC team to validate store design and VDM implementation
  • Manage the allocation budget for each store design project
  • Marketing Services
  • In order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing service operations, we will work with F&A to standardize and visualize workflows/processes and implement Japan's unique import system.
  • Work with F&A to perform logistics operations such as product label registration, product name registration, import tracking, QA, and local sets/kits/GWP

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English
