Job Description

This is an entry-level UI/UX Designer position in a highly-growing startup that is developing a document IDE for non-engineers.


Responsibilities

  • Create visual assets for advertising, promotion, and online presence, to support marketing campaigns and conferences.
  • Plan and Implement user research strategies and usability testing.
  • Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative analysis for data, and user feedback.
  • Improve the UX and UI of BoostDraft’s product, by making educated hypotheses with limited input, and delivering wireframes, flows, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with a remote cross-functional team while taking ownership and proactively moving projects forward.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Share understanding and belief in our company’s mission and values.
  • 1+ years experience designing UI and UX in real projects.
  • Knowledge in user research and usability testing.
  • Experience using tools such as Figma and Illustrator.
  • Fluent in writing and oral English.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your knowledge and experience in visual and UI/UX design.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience with designing products for professional users.
  • Experience with working in cross-functional teams and early-stage startups.
  • Fluent in writing and oral Japanese

About the Company

BoostDraft is a software engineering company that develops IDE for documents. It was founded by MIT and Stanford grad students, developing an assisted document editor for documents. It is a new document editor that employs error checking, reference checking, and auto-completion using both a rule-based approach and NLP, like what coding editors/IDE (e.g. VSCode, Pycharm) do.

Background & Traction

We are currently focusing on Lawyers who draft relatively standardized but long documents, such as contracts. Only one year after our product launch, we already have more than 7,000 active paid users. We have several long-term, large-scale contracts with famed enterprises and law firms. As a result, we have been highly profitable from Day 1 and experienced exponential growth without outside funding at all.

BoostDraft was accepted by prestigious accelerator programs, MassChallenge (Top 30 US accelerator), StartX (Stanford Accelerator, 7% acceptance rate), MIT Sandbox (Accelerator of Massachusetts Institute of Technology)

Hiring Process
