Join our innovative team at Circles Japan where we are committed to transforming the digital telco landscape. We are currently seeking a skilled UX Designer to play a key role in enhancing our platform. In this position, you will define and shape the user experience, contributing significantly to the successful adoption of new features and boosting overall user satisfaction.
The role will be part of the Product Management team and will be based in Tokyo. This role will require working onsite in the office at least 4 days a week.
Responsibilities
- User Research and Discovery:
- Conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights.
- Analyzing user feedback and identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate user insights into actionable design improvements that enhance user interaction with our platform.
- Develop wireframes and interactive prototypes to outline the structure and functionality of new features.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and UI designer to refine concepts and designs, ensuring alignment with platform objectives.
- Plan and execute usability testing sessions to collect feedback on interface designs and workflows, iterating based on user feedback.
- Address usability issues promptly and revise designs to improve user experience continually.
- Develop user guides, tutorials, and documentation to assist users in navigating new features effectively.
- Principles:
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and effective implementation of design principles.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in UX design, integrating innovative strategies into our platform.
- Champion user-centered design principles within the team, advocating for an optimal user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Proven experience as a UX Designer in the Japan Marker with at least 5 years of experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
- Must be fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD is compulsory.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Solid experience in creating mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about user needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Comfortable thriving in a dynamic and unpredictable work environment, where rapid prototyping and quick decision-making are essential
