User / UX Researcher

Job Description

Envision, Plan and execute all the required action items required for conducting User Research to help our client & Cognizant understand the user needs. The outcome should help the project stakeholders to draw insights about the problem we are aiming to solve.

Responsibilities

• Conducts both qualitative and quantitative analyses using methods including, but not limited to, usability testing, heuristic assessments, comparative/competitive analysis, contextual observation, interviews, and surveys
• Manages data files/records from data-gathering exercises across various Business Units
• Makes significant contributions to brainstorms, critiques, and other collaborative sessions with multidisciplinary teams
• Performs participant recruitment through creation of screeners and scheduling
• Leads the analysis of existing data to draw meaningful insights in areas such as demographics, technology, client’s existing teaching methodology, consumers' preference, behaviour and perceptions
• Reviews research observations, reports, interview summaries, interview session footages evaluates the findings and to derive UX recommendations
• Provides significant input into formulating UX Design Strategy, suggestions on Design mock-ups and project scopes on the basis of user research outcomes
• Understand the evolving learning trends in Japanese society
• Establish the intent for the brainstorming sessions
• Map the existing the user journey for all the key users

Qualifications

Must Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience working in a professional capacity as User Experience Designer working on complex enterprise applications
• Skill to conduct user interviews, focus groups discussions, and the any appropriate qualitative/quantitative research methods
• Has working knowledge of surveys, diary studies, card sorting, tree-testing, focus groups, and stakeholder workshop facilitation
• Ability to interact with end users from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, technical competence, cultural preferences, age group
• Japanese Language Skills
• Ability of understand the learning needs of students in various age brackets
