Summary Job Description

Japan market is the largest market in embecta ASIA.

This is a critical role to develop Japan business and responsible for making the business strategy and work closely with Country General Manager (CGM) and Sales leaders to ensure high revenue growth year by year.

Candidates are expected to come with cross-functional communication skills to leverage internal embecta resources to achieve revenue growth targets, as well as experiences in start-ups, integrating various activities from R&D, health economics/reimbursement, Regulatory, Clinical, Operations, Sales & Marketing to ensure industrial and commercial launch.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, drive, and execute strategies aligning with embecta Regional/Worldwide headquarters.
  • Develop and manage to achieve business plans (annual budget and quarterly projections).
  • Develop strategic partnership with customers, distributors, and potential partners.
  • Leverage business opportunities, avoid/alleviate business risks and prepare for changes through better understanding of the market.
  • Create high performance organization through enhancing collaboration among sales, marketing, service, and other functions, and develop talent with concrete individual development plans.
  • Maintain and reinforce business compliance.
  • Contribute to ASIA marketing as a leader of a country marketing team.
  • Lead and drive branding of embecta.
  • Lead and drive partnership with other companies, new product launch, and reimbursement activities.
  • Design strategies to maximize the profitability of product lines by collaborating with cross-functional partners, conducting market research, and performing financial and market analyses.
  • Track performance against objectives and plans, formulating new approaches and strategies as needed.
  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events.
  • Work closely with the company’s regional teams, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Leadership role experience required, such as leader of start-up company, managing sales, marketing and/or small business organization.
  • Intense interaction experience with regional/global organizations required.
  • People management skills required, especially coaching and developing people to maximize organizational capability as a leader.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, strategic thinking, accounting/finance skills essential.
  • Highly energic self-starter, able to lead and run a project once given an initial direction or framework.
  • Medical device industry experience a strong positive; having the relevant experience in excelling and leading in different types of businesses and business models necessary.
  • Business/Marketing/Commercial Degree level qualification required.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing strongly desired/preferred.
