Job Description:


H&M North East Asia (Japan & Korea) region is bringing our design hub into this region. As a Product Developer, you drive and execute the product development in a way that enables the team to be industry leaders in creating commercial and relevant products for the Customer. You contribute to increased customer value, meaningful growth, and profitability by securing an efficient modular and component way of working.

Responsibilities:


  • Have a customer focus in the component and product development process

  • Utilize customer, fashion, competitor, and selling insights to develop the best Customer offer

  • Main responsible to set, driving, and execute the component & product development strategy

  • Secure all known and new components and contribute to the department/category sustainability & profitability goals

  • Main responsible for the Product development timeline of the department/category

  • Pre-work and develop components in line with identified keys and the Assortment strategy

  • Secure an efficient modular and component planning and process

  • Execute and manage efficient product development and sample handling in terms of the purpose of the product, profitability, and sustainability

  • Ensure sustainable options for all relevant materials and components in accordance with the Assortment strategy

  • Self-motivated and take ownership to learn and develop an improved way of working

  • Responsible to support and lead the junior product developers

Qualifications:


  • Degree in textile, product development or equivalent and at least 5 years relevant working experience

  • Product and component knowledge relevant to the department/category

  • Proficiently handle relevant tools and systems

  • Fluency in English

  • Clear understanding of production processes and the capabilities and limitations

  • Knowledge of modular way of working

  • Proven ability to organize workload, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Demonstrated communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

  • Leadership skills to support the junior product developer in their development and in the work process
