This is a high impact, highly visible role in which you’ll work closely with the various Global Marketing Teams (e.g. Ads, Automation, Brand), as well as the Japan Team, across multiple disciples (e.g. Sales, Services, Support).

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to plan and execute initiatives to “Attract” prospect users, and to “Engage” with them by developing integrated campaigns relevant for the Japanese audience - providing the right contents, through the right channel, at the right time. Your KPI will be based on lead volume (i.e. content leads, signup leads, qualified leads) as well as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) generated from those leads.

  • Plan, execute, and report on all Online Ad Campaigns (i.e. paid social, paid search, programmatic display, audio, review sites, etc.) to support our direct response and brand advertising.
  • Manage the Online Ads budgets and pacing to ensure spend limits come in on target. Track and optimize campaign impact, profitability & ROI.
  • Design, build and optimize our communication strategy (e.g. automated email and chatbots) to effectively engage with prospects and customers, across the various stages of the buyer’s journey.
  • Optimize the performance of various marketing initiatives by experimenting with copy, imagery, CTAs, strategies and segmentation.
  • Support product launches (e.g. Online Ads, Landing Pages, Launch emails etc)
  • Stay current on the latest in Technology (e.g. Ads, Marketing, AI). Investigate and experiment with new marketing channels such as video platforms, podcasts, review sites, newsletters and beyond
  • Educate our global teams on the Japanese market, and develop the relevant asks to support the growth of the Japan business.

Qualifications

  • Must be a native Japanese speaker, with proficiency in business level English.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B marketing (ideally SaaS).
  • Minimum 2 years of in-house direct response paid advertising experience. Hands-on experience working with various ad platforms (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • (Experience working with marketing automation tools, particularly email marketing and chatbots, is a plus.)
  • Be obsessed with data and have an analytical mind that is utterly passionate about problem solving.
  • Be agile and experimental, bringing new ideas and tests to the team and moving at a fast pace to hit aggressive goals.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and being part of a growing team in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across multiple teams across the globe.
