Calling all passionate 2D animators! Are you ready to breathe life into characters and stories through meticulous frame-by-frame creation, all from the comfort of your home studio?
June Sky Studios LLC, a passionate and nimble animation studio specializing in 2D animation, is seeking two talented animators to join our founding team. As a core member (fully remote), you'll play a critical role in shaping our animation pipeline and establishing June Sky Studios as a leader in the art form.
Responsibilities
- Become a Master of Movement: Demonstrate exceptional 2D animation skills, breathing life into characters, environments, and stories through frame-by-frame animation.
- Embrace Diverse Styles: We welcome applicants with a wide range of 2D animation styles, from classic hand-drawn to graphic and artistic approaches. Let your unique talent shine!
- Collaborate Seamlessly: Communicate animation concepts and ideas clearly with clients, environment artists, video editors, and other stakeholders, leveraging effective remote communication tools.
- Be a Team Player: Foster a collaborative and positive work environment where everyone thrives and ideas are exchanged freely, even across distances.
- Embrace New Horizons: Be open to learning new techniques and software as we tackle diverse and exciting animation projects.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a professional 2D animator.
- Showcase a stunning animation portfolio that exemplifies a mastery of storytelling techniques and strong 2D animation skills in your preferred style.
- Hold expertise in industry-standard 2D animation software like Toon Boom Harmony, TVPaint, or Adobe Animate.
- Bring a burning desire to contribute to the creative vision of a new and exciting studio.
- Adapt and flourish in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience in character design and storyboarding.
- A knack for problem-solving and a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with traditional animation techniques.
