Job Description


You are passionate about creating simple digital experiences that meet the complicated needs of our users. Your approach drives user-centric design principles on your product team.

As a UX Designer, you will be an advocate for all people who use KIT products in KPMG including members of the audit, tax, financial advisory, and consulting. Often playing the part of the Experience Lead on a cross-functional product team, you will be responsible for ensuring experience design results in a thoughtful, impactful, and intuitive solution for end-users.

Responsibilities


  • Often play the role of Experience Lead on the product team. This will mean working closely as a peer with the Product Owner and Tech Lead in planning and defining product strategy.

  • Work with Product Team leadership to clarify understanding of the users’ needs and business context and support Product Owner in designing solutions.

  • Produce scenarios, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that translate an understanding of user and business needs into intuitive user experiences.

  • Prepare and conduct user feedback, including usability studies, to validate design solutions

  • Effectively communicate and recommend ideas using evidence such as research data, user feedback, usability guidelines, and best practices to stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify measures to calculate impact and achievement by selecting and applying effective UX metrics that align with the product’s Key Performance Indicators.

  • Interact directly with clients and users in Japanese and English to present designs and report user test plans and results.

  • Contribute to the structure and building of the KIT Design System.

  • Support other UX members through peer mentoring, providing feedback, and participating in design review sessions.

Qualifications


Ideal candidates for this role are able to demonstrate proficiency in the following with limited supervision or direction. This typically means +5 years of experience.

A portfolio demonstrating a sample of design deliverables (personas, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes) and proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

  • Fluency in user-centered design processes and principles.

  • Experience designing for various devices and platforms.

  • Experience planning and conducting usability assessments and moderated user feedback sessions.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders of all levels.

  • Experience in end-to-end enterprise product solutions.

Nice-to-haves


  • Experience working in the agile development process.

  • Experience using and contributing to design systems in early stages.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of UX research methodologies such as in-depth interviews focuses on group studies, ethnographic research, and surveys.

  • Understanding of tax, audit, consulting, advisory, financial, or technology industry.
