Job Description

KUMORI, a boutique creative agency working with high-end premium Japanese brands, is seeking a talented UI/UX design intern. This is ideal for someone who is already experienced in UI / UX design but wants to expand their portfolio with Japanese brands. You will be working on projects that highlight Japanese aesthetics and design excellence.

Duration: 3 months (trial period)

Payment: Paid internship

Responsibilities

  • Support the design team in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces aligned with Japanese aesthetics and global design trends.
  • Work on UX wireframes, UI components, and prototypes for digital projects.
  • Assist with visual asset design for web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team to incorporate feedback and refine designs.

Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects (with attention to Japanese or minimalist design preferred).
  • Basic understanding of UX principles and UI design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
  • Interest in Japanese culture, aesthetics, and premium design.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks.

Visa Status:

  • For Japanese candidates: Compensation depending on agreement.
  • For foreign candidates: Must have a valid visa; KUMORI will accommodate visa regulations, but not sponsor.

Design User Interfaces, Develop User Experiences, Prototype and Iterate (using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch), Understand Japanese Design Aesthetics, Work Independently (manage tasks with minimal supervision)
