Money Forward is developing a variety of services for individuals and corporations to realize our vision, “Becoming the financial platform for all”. In addition, we are working to promote the effective use of data. In order to further address our customers' needs in the future, we are actively strengthening our development system using AI/ML technology for the main services of each department.

We are looking for someone who can promote the implementation of AI/ML-based functions in cooperation with the product development organization to address the challenges of Money Forward's numerous services.

Attractive Points

The main attraction of this position is that you will be able to work on new value provision and function development using AI/ML, utilizing data from a variety of services, from accounting and back office services for corporations to services for individuals. In cooperation with the respective product teams and PdMs, you will be able to lead projects from the level of idea development and technical verification to the development of user-first functions.

You will have significant autonomy in collaborating with product development teams and initiating new development projects, and you will be able to develop your own career and experience along with the growth of the organization.
In addition to developing your expertise as a project lead, you can also realize a variety of career paths, such as taking on team management as the organization expands.


Responsibilities

  • Propose and verify problem-solving solutions using AI/ML, and support development and operations for each of Money Forward's services
  • Manage requirements and schedules in collaboration with product managers and product development teams
  • Facilitate engineering teams across multiple organizations and resolve technical and organizational issues
  • Communicate and coordinate with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Create business value through the development of AI/ML technology

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of development experience in a software engineering team
  • At least 1 year of experience in implementing AI/ML algorithms, refining and improving models, and integrating them into production services
  • At least 1 year of experience managing development teams or projects

Nice-to-have

  • Experience designing and implementing effectiveness testing, performance evaluation, and A/B testing
  • Experience working to improve model performance, including AI/ML model refinement and fine tuning
  • Experience designing, developing and operating large-scale AI/ML systems
  • Experience coordinating development schedule priorities and roadmaps with product managers and related departments
  • Experience with development projects using Scrum and Agile methodologies
  • Domain knowledge of Money Forward's business areas, including accounting/back office and financial data
  • Knowledge of data security standards such as personal information, financial and accounting data handling, and PCI DSS, and experience in designing, developing, and operating systems in accordance with these requirements

Salary Range

Min 7,500,000 - Max 12,000,000 Japanese yen / year (Gross)

*Including fixed overtime work allowance of 45 hours for regular, non-legal hours, legal holidays and 40 hours for late-night work.


About the Company

“Money Forward Cloud ERP” is a cloud-based composable ERP (modular ERP) that has our own SaaS applications for business back-office operations from Accounting, Finances, and Human Resources fields as its module applications.

Our team is developing Public APIs and API platforms for those products. Public APIs enable our ERP to offer a high degree of integration with other third-party applications. This allows our customers to build a more comprehensive view of their operations and data across different functional areas and systems. Also by designing commonly used API platforms, we aim to improve UX and development productivity.

Location, Hybrid Work

  • As a standard practice, a minimum of 2 days work from office attendance is mandatory, designated as team office days. Additionally, employees are encouraged to spend 3 or more days in the office.
  • The specific "team office days" may vary depending on the assigned team.
  • This policy may be subject to change based on the company's needs and work circumstances.

Vacation

  • Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Japanese national holidays
  • Paid holiday: 10 days (first year) *Number of paid holidays increases (+1 day) every year up to 20 days a year.
