Job Description
As a customer-focused individual, you excel in comprehending their needs and advocating for them within the organization. You have a deep understanding of the accounting/finance industry and the unique needs of small and medium-sized businesses. You will be responsible for driving product vision and strategy, defining product requirements, working with cross-functional teams to bring products to market, and measuring and analyzing product performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a product roadmap and strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and identify new product opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog
- Develop business cases for new products and enhancements, including market opportunity analysis, customer validation, and financial modeling
- Partner with design, engineering, and sales teams to bring products to market and ensure their successful launch
- Conduct post-launch analysis to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement
- Stay current on industry trends and developments, and continuously evaluate the competitiveness of the company's product offerings
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the accounting/finance industry and the unique needs of small and medium-sized businesses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA and Asana
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Native Japanese (or JPLT N2 equivalent) and business-level English proficiency
