Job Description

The Product Manager position will bridge between our developers and our UI designers. Your goal is to turn our complex software system into an intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use product for our customers. You will drive design projects and document them into detailed, accurate, and easy-to-understand product requirements for our development team.

Responsibilities

• Maximize market impact through your understanding of the underlying robotics and design concepts. Lead efforts to balance engineering and user requirements so that the product can be successfully delivered on time


• Work with extremely talented engineers to identify the technical challenges and constraints for delivering and deploying the next generation of reliable and robust robotics products


• Drive the Mujin controller improvement project with the UI design team, using your excellent project management skills


• Work together with various teams to create future product improvement plans


• Follow through all stages of implementation, testing, and deployment of the user interfaces so that problems and bottlenecks can be quickly identified and resolved

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/必須要件

• Proven record of successfully delivering products


• Interest in B-to-B robotics and the logistics/manufacturing industry


• Experience gathering information from engineers and organizing detailed, accurate requirements


• Experience planning and managing design project progress


• Proven ability to understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into intuitive design


• Great interpersonal and communication skills in English to partner with internal technical and business teams (English-speaking working environment)

Preferable Requirements/歓迎要件

• Ability to read source code (C++, Python, Typescript)


• Industrial robotics project experience


• Senior Designer backgrounds, such as information architecture and interaction design


• Management experience


• Proficiency in UX/UI software such as Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma, Principle, InVision, and Zeplin to produce wireframes and hi-fidelity pixel-perfect mockups


• Japanese is a plus

About the Company

Mujin develops and sells "intelligent robot controllers" with the goal of building a common platform for industrial robots. Conventional robots are suitable for automating repetitive work, but traditionally they've been hard to install in environments where products and surroundings change. Most robots have complex settings that are hard to change for each use case. Mujin's tech solves this problem using technology called motion planning. It allows them to provide solutions that replace heavy but simple work done by humans with automation by robots. The technology is used primarily for logistics and manufacturing applications.

Working Hours/就業時間:

8:45～17:45 (Includes 1-hour break)
