Computer Vision Engineer

Job Description

Preferred Networks is promoting to provide its customers with solutions based on the results of its own research in video recognition technology, machine learning, deep learning, and other areas. We are looking for a computer vision engineer to be involved in such research and development.

Responsibilities

• Development of computer vision algorithms to be used in products
• Integration of algorithms into products
• Various tasks that arise when integrating algorithms into products, such as managing data, developing learning pipelines, testing models, and other so-called MLOps-like activities
• You will be in charge of various tasks that arise in the process of integrating algorithms into products.

The specific assignment will be to a team developing solutions for the retail sector, such as supermarkets and convenience stores. However, experience and knowledge of the retail sector are not necessarily required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Japanese language proficiency with the ability to
• Reading and understanding documentation
• Verbal technical communication within the development team
• Experience in Python development
• Basic knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
• Experience in research and development of deep learning-based computer vision algorithms
• Ability to communicate appropriately with multiple stakeholders and lead projects

Preferred Requirements

• Master's or PhD in computer science or related technical field
• Knowledge and experience in general computer vision and image processing not related to machine learning
• Experience operating machine learning models as a service
• Basic knowledge of cloud-native application infrastructure (especially Kubernetes)
• Knowledge and experience related to the following "technical domain keywords

• Full-time regular employment
• Probation period: 3 months (under the same condition as regular employment)

Work Schedule

• Five-day workweek (Saturdays and Sundays off), public holidays, New Year’s holiday

Compensation

• Experience, performance, skills, contribution are taken into consideration.
• Periodic assessment (2 times a year)
