Responsibilities

This role is to plan, execute and monitor PR activities for Performance category within the country to achieve brand and commercial objectives working with the key stakeholders. Also this role is to lead Corporate PR activities by working closely with Global team as well as Japan leadership team.

This includes:

  • Implement seasonal Marketing initiatives within the country for the category
  • Develop relations with Media and key influencers for the category
  • Manage and implement the local PR calendar for the category
  • Manage and implement the local Corporate PR activities

Task 1: Develop and implement PR plans to budget aligned with other marketing functions to optimize brand exposure to consumer for the performance category. Manage and implement PR calendar for the category. Align programs as set by regional priority product style and identify local key product styles that require PR support and how this will be executed.

Task 2: Manage effective use of the PR budget for the category by leverage Global/Regional content and develop locally relevant content as required. Ensure high content quality by maintain brand voice through tone and manner and adhering to video and photo capture standards.

Task 3: Develop media relations strategy and ensure effective implementation. Manage the creation & execution of local market editor events and local press days. Maintain and manage relevant media contacts broken down by categories. Task 4: Develop product seeding strategy and manage implementation to drive brand exposure and desirability for the category. Build relations and connect with key influencers that are relevant to the category.

Task 5: Manage PR agency, including agency reviews and contract renewals as per guidelines set by Region and International PR. Manage with the agency the creation of creative mailers, press kits, lookbooks etc

Task 6: Manager Coproate PR acticities including media relations, news letters. Closely working with global communication team to understand global direction and to be provided their support for local PR communication.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree

Professional: Functional: 3 - 5 years experiences in PR or Advertising agency Language Skills: Native level Japanese / Business level in English

Industry: Sports / Retail / Fashion consumer brands, agency experience is a plus Leadership: plus
