Are you looking to join a diverse team of talented engineers and designers?

We are looking for a Marketing & Events Manager to join our Japan office that has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work! You will solve juicy digital challenges at scale, share expertise with others, and work closely with Reaktor communities in Lisbon, Helsinki, NYC and Amsterdam.

We’re looking for a person who lives in the Tokyo metro area and is able to work on-site at our office in Ebisu several days a week.


Responsibilities

What will your day look like?

  • Oversee and curate content for the Japanese Reaktor website, ensuring regular updates to product information, case studies, and blog posts
  • Adapt and localize marketing content provided by Global Marketing for the Japanese market
  • Develop and execute a diverse range of local Reaktor events, from monthly meet-ups to larger-scale gatherings (frequency and format to be determined)
  • Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, speaker coordination, and attendee registration, to ensure successful execution and audience engagement
  • Identify and secure opportunities for Reaktor to participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows through presentations, sponsorships, or attendance
  • Develop our content and event strategy together with sales
  • Implement and maintain Hubspot integrations to optimize contact management and campaign performance for lead generation
  • Collaborate closely with sales managers to ensure timely and effective follow-up on leads generated through marketing initiatives
  • Support Reaktor consultants in content creation efforts to establish thought leadership and brand awareness within the Japanese market
  • Proactively generate media relations activities to secure press coverage and interview opportunities for Reaktor consultants
  • Secure speaking engagements for consultants at industry events and conferences to showcase expertise and establish industry recognition
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with local marketing agencies, event organizers, and media/PR firms to amplify marketing efforts and achieve campaign goals
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all marketing activities to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications

To thrive in this position, you’ll need: 

  • Strong verbal communication skill and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholder groups both in English and Japanese
  • Experience working in an international company and have experience coordinating with stakeholders in other countries
  • A proven track record of successful event planning, execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Hands-on experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) and Marketing Automation (MA) tools
  • Experience managing external partners and vendors (advertising, event and media/pr partners)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate teams and individuals, such as content creators and consultants

We don’t have a hard limit for years of experience, but we’ve noticed that these competencies usually take 5-10 years to accumulate.
