Software Engineer (React)

Responsibilities

In this role you will be reporting to the CTO and will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the Sagri application using React.js, Next.js, or Node.js and Python.
• Implementing user-facing features like interactive maps, data visualization, push notifications, and real-time data updates.
• Ensuring seamless integration with third-party APIs, such as weather data providers.
• Optimizing the application for performance, responsiveness, and battery efficiency.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, data scientists, and product managers, to deliver high-quality features.
• Participating in code reviews, writing unit tests, and maintaining code quality standards.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues in the production environment, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Qualifications

Ideal Profile

• You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in development using React.js, Next.js, or Node.js and Python.
• You have broad experience in leading both back-end and front-end development.
• You are familiar with REST APIs and have experience integrating with backend services.
• You have experience with React, Redux, Next.js, Django REST framework; Database: PostgreSQL (PostGIS).
• You have Familiarity with satellite data processing, AI models, or geospatial data visualization is a strong plus.
• You have experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, etc.), Version Control: Git; Repository Management: GitHub; Communication Tools: Slack, Zoom, Discord.
• You have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and have the ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• You possess a solid understanding of mobile app performance optimization techniques.
• You are an analytical, problem-solver with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
