Job Description
This is a contract position of 3-4 months depending on the start date.
You will be working alongside the in-house graphic design department in creating a variety of visual materials for TerraCycle for our various brand partners and Asia Pacific offices. Must be able to design within various styles, whether it be our TerraCycle brand or our partners brand style. Examples include posters, website images, social media images, 2D motion videos, logos, digital mockups, photography, photo cropping, and retouching, etc. Position located in our Yokohama, Japan office (APAC headquarters). This is a contract position until mid of April with a potential for extension.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Graphics department, internal business partners, foreign subsidiaries staff
Experience (junior, mid-level, etc.): Mid-level

Monthly salary: 300,000-350,000 yen

Responsibilities
- Evaluate design briefs or participate in kick-off meetings to get project scope for the following:
- TerraCycle Internal Departments
- Recycling Programs
- Any other business or departments under the TerraCycle Brand
- Think creatively to come up design concepts to fit the needs of the project while maintaining design standards
- Managing projects from start to finish that is assigned to you
- Maintain edits to existing projects
- Managing edits given by internal staff and clients, while maintaining design standards
- Meet required deadlines for all projects
- Proofing and preparing designs to be sent to print.
- Managing interns
- Any other company requirements that come our way
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite CC. Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Acrobat After Effects, Premier
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint
- Strong artistic skills
- Team Player
- Able to work, problems solve and multitask in a rapidly changing environment, with changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work with the creative team, international staff, and clients
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Experience in digital photography and videography is a plus
- Anything that is required by TerraCycle
- Portfolio required for review. Must have at least one Adobe After Effect Project included in the portfolio
