WeWork is seeking a Design Technology (BIM) specialist to help lead its incredible growth in the Japan market. This full-time position reports to the Design Director and will be part of our growing Design Team. The successful candidate will be diligent with a proven track record in BIM, and Architecture, and can work on all phases and aspects that combine Design & Technology. The Design Technology, Senior Lead will be responsible for managing tools and processes that enable the physical through digital means, offering valuable and scalable solutions for the company. From creating and maintaining BIM standards, content, templates, training material to capture both global and regional design standards, to ensure excellent performance, brand, and member experience.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Design team to enhance and leverage technology to elevate design, and efficiencies relating to outsourcing models for future new business models
Establishes processes and best practices for communication and data gathering, including training and
System Requirements Documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures
Understand continuous improvement initiatives, and implementation best practices within project teams, to leverage Outsourcing and build for growth
Helps to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders have the most accurate project data
Maintain accuracy and consistency of project data stored within all systems
Improve and empower others to innovate through coaching, training, process development, and automation
Coordinating with both internal teams, and external consultants on project information and data
Substantial involvement during closeout to ensure project information is accurate and packaged for use by downstream users (Ops, Community, Digital)
Elevate WeWork standards, goals, and brand ideals
Communicate regularly with management regarding the status of your work, reporting directly to the Design Director
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters degree in a design or design-related field, including but not limited to BIM or Architecture.
6+ years professional design experience in high quality commercial or hospitality projects. Mixed-use residential, cultural, and institutional experience also will be considered
Experience in all phases of the design process from schematic design through the bid process and construction administration
Excellent and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
Strong time management skills and demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner
Proficient in the following programs: Revit, Rhino, Google Suite, Bluebeam Revu
(Preferred) Proficiency in the following programs: Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau or open source data analytics software, Grasshopper
(Preferred) Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, SQL, C#, and JavaScript
Fluent in English, Japanese (preferred)
