TEAM
We are on a mission to create user experiences that are both safe and smart and cater to all levels of autonomous mobility. As the AD/ADAS Advanced UX team, we are UX strategists, interaction and UI designers, 3D designers, UX researchers, and project managers. We believe in transparency and teamwork, and we collaborate daily with members from diverse backgrounds and countries. You will represent the voice of our users and help shape the future of the automotive industry.
You will report to the Senior UX Project Manager, and this role is hybrid - you will work in the office 3+ days per week.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for a dynamic UX Project Manager. You will coordinate our UX researchers and designers, ensuring cross-department collaboration. You will communicate steering team efforts, manage third-party relationships, and maintain project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: ensuring work stays aligned with the team's vision and goals
- Scope and Integration: Define project scopes and integrate vendors into processes
- Contract and Vendor Management: Manage contracts and maintain productive relationships with vendors
- Task and Milestone Management: Manage milestones and keep the team on track
- Continuous Improvement: Always enhance communication channels and project pipelines
- Team Support: Foster an environment conducive to team success and adherence to a user-centered design process
- Project Tracking: Update project management tools and track project activities
- Collaboration: Work with UX Researchers, Designers, UX Simulation Developers, and UX Engineers to allocate responsibilities and timelines
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with department heads and the Director on Statements of Work (SOWs) and project briefs
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in project management within a UX or design-focused environment
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Experience with user-centered design processes and methodologies
NICE TO HAVES
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the automotive sector, especially with ADAS features and advanced self-driving technology
- Familiarity with design software and 3D design pipelines.
- Bilingual English/Japanese (TOEIC score more than 860, JLPT level N3 or more)
- Experience handling complex projects
