Job Description:

YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP is the world leader in online luxury and fashion which comprises a complete luxury retail ecosystem. To support the teams who are powering this ecosystem we have a global Corporate division consisting of departments including Legal, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Strategy, Human Resources, Central Services, and PR and Communications.

Our Japan team is now seeking a talented Editorial Creative Artwork to join the company. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

Location: Tokyo, Japan
Department Size: 3
Reporting into: Editorial Content Manager, Japan

Responsibilities:

• Produce sophisticated and beautiful typography in Japanese and have an understanding of its relevance to a good design both online and offline.


• Design our marketing assets for the Japanese-speaking markets: landing pages, visuals for social media, marketing campaigns, newsletters/emails, banners, presentations, and information material for customers.


• Ensure that image quality is at maximum on all assets designed as well as fonts and type are all readable on a range of web design requirements.


• Be confident and happy working on a high volume of emails and onsite promotions. 


• Artwork beautiful designs for other marketing projects whilst keeping to style guidelines. This also includes design checks once built and communicating changes well with the web team.


• Design bespoke language assets.


• Meet stringent deadlines while having the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.


• Develop technical skills to stay abreast of software changes.


• Support the wider Design Team with any other ad hoc duties within the art dept/editorial when needed.

Qualifications:

• Japanese mother tongue and excellent command of the English language; you will need to be able to write and speak English fluently 


• Proven layout/design experience


• Has at least 3 years of experience


• Solid experience in working across a range of web design projects from websites to new media and print


• The ability to work quickly from concept to finished product; you are self-motivated


• A detail-oriented, deadline-driven approach, and are able to multi-task with solid organizational, time management, and follow through


• Excellent Photoshop skills


• Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign


• Basic video editing and animation skills


• A pro-active attitude and are able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the editorial quality of the site


• Must be able to work overtime when necessary to meet business needs
